SHOOTING

DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB SATURDAY’S RESULTS On Saturday members of the Defence Rifle Club were greeted with their first fine day on the range this season, but from a shooting point of view the conditions were only fair. The scores were not good except Rifleman Hamilton’s 48 at 300 yards ,which must be classed as good in any conditions. The best totals off the rifle were 90’s among them being Reg Shaw who was the only member to keep above “magpies-” The competition was the fourth for the championship. Following are the scores:—

Next Saturday the ranges will be 300 and 500 yards at Aramoho. The conditions to govern the club’s service championship will also be decided on the range.
