LOSS ON THE YEAR
FARMERS’ FREEZING COMPANY
NORTH CANTERBURY WORKS [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, November 19. The fifteenth annual report of the North Canterbury Sheepfarmors’ Cooperative Freezing Company has been issued to the shareholders. The directors, in their Report, state that a considerable increase in the number of stock handled at the works has been shown during the year. The contract for the sale of a portion of the output had worked satisfactorily, tut a considerable loss had been suslained on the remaining portion, leaving a deficiency on the year’s operations of £5411, which the directors re commend should be added to the loss in ought forward. The directors regard with satisfac tion the completion of arrangements for the sale of the whole of the output of meat on satisfactory terms for the coming scasn.
The retiring directors are James Carr (Methven), J. W. Black (Culverden), H. G. Paris and C. T. Jessop. All seek re-election, and also J. E. Austin, Christchurch, is a candidate, so that a ballot, will be necessary.
