WEATHER FORECAST
General situation.—The recent depression now passing east of New Zealand, while a moderate anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea, its centre being in the north.
Forecast.—Winds: South-westerly to southerly moderate v. strong generally and, in places, reaching gale force Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough on the west coast and off-shore on North East Cape, rising at South East Cape. Tasman Sea. Strong south-westcifly winds to gale; rough to heavy seas in the eastern Tasman, moderating gradually tomorrow. Weather: Still unsettled with further showers in most districts, heavy on parts of the east coast, with hail and thunder in places, improving gradually later in western districts; temperatures cool.
