MR. FORBES IN ENGLAND
A VISIT TO BRADFORD DETERIORATION OF FLEECES LONDON, Nov. 18. When Air Forbes visits Bradford he will discuss with Sir Frederick Akroyd and other leading wool users the problem of Romney flocks, which are alleged to be losing their spinning property. Bradford experts say that Romney fleeces have fallen off in quality recently owing to pastoralists not being particular enough in selection oi rams. Spinners maintain that Romneys -are not being bred true to type and <■ f tain thick, small hairs, which constitute a hindrance.
Air Forbes spent the afternoon in a series of interviews with businessmen engaged in the New Zealand trade, including Air Speakman, of ’Dalgety’s Sir Charles Holdsworth and Dr- Myers.
All the callers congratulated Air Forbes on the manner ho had represented New Zealand at the Imperial Conference.
