STOCK DRIVERS THEFTS GIVEN SIGNED CHEQUE BOOK [Per Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, November 17. Upon a true bill being returned against him, William Holmes, a drover of Stratford, pleadca guilty in the Supreme Court to 18 charges of theft, forgery and uttering. Holmes was an agent for a cattle dealer, Alex McMullian. McAlullian gave him a signed cheque book to pay for stock purchased on behalf of MeMullian. Sentence was deferred.
