A WOMAN’S DEATH

THE SILVERDALE TRAGEDY POST MORTEM EXAMINATION | Per Press Association. I AUCKLAND, Nov. 16. By order of the Coroner, Mr Hunt, a post mortem examination is to be made on the body of Mrs Linda liubina Page, aged 35. who was found dead in a waterhole at Silverdale. yesterday afternoon. This action followed the inquest. which was opened yesterday morning and adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been

given. Mrs Page lived about two miles on the Wade Heads side of Silverdale, and it was her custom to go into the township to buy her provisions- On her way she had to walk over a plank which crossed a tidal creek- According to the evidence given at the inquest, Edward Cecil Charles Hart went to meet Mrs Page and found her dead in a waterhole three feet deep-

Hart explained to the Coroner that Mrs Page was divorced three months ago and since then he and she had been living together as man and wife. Hart said that on arriving at the creek he had noticed parcels on tlf bank. They appeared to have been placed on the ground. “J. could not see any signs of a struggle,” he added, “but there was a mark down the bank from the path to the waterhole- Her hat was by the parcels. There was a bruise on her forehead.”
