BURGLAR "GHOST"
FEAST AMONG COFFINS. A gruesome discovery was recently made at Rinteln, on the Weser, in Germany. For some lime the townspeople had been afraid to go near the cemetery. as they declared that ghosts walked there. The chief sexton watched, ami late at night saw an old man with a lantern in his hand and a knapsack on his back approach the vault of an aristocratic family. The man opened the iron door with a key and closed it behind him. whereupon the sexton telephoned to the police. Breaking open the door, the police found the old man enjoying a luxurious meal, surrounded by six coflins, behind which were bottles of wine, quantities of excellent foo*l. ami boxes of cigars and cigarettes.
The man was an cx-ionvicf. He had wandered to Rinteln, where he obtained supplies by commiting burglaries. He had lived in luxury for a fortnight
