SENSATIONAL ESCAPE
PRISONERS IN POLICE VAN TORE UP FLOOR BOARDS SYDNEY, Nov. 15. Two men, on remand in connection with the charges of alleged complicity in house breaking, were being transported in a police van through a busy street in Annadale when they tore up the floor boards and dropped through and escaped. Another prisoner’s efforts to alarm the driver and escort were counteracted for some time by the noise of the traffic. The constables received the surprise of their lives. The men arc still at large.
