STEV ENS—THOMPSON Wedding bells peeled merrily in Alar ton on Wednesday, November 12, when Kathleen Annie, eldest daughter of Air and Airs IL J. Thompson, Marton, be came the wife of George D. Bank Ste vens, second son of Air and Airs W. G. Stevens, Auckland (and formerly a* Huntcrvillc). St. Stephen’s, which had been daintily decorated for the ceremony, con tained a large assemblage of the bride and bridegroom’s friends and relatives and when the happy couple left the church they were given a, joyous rondoff. The bride who was given away by her father, made a picture of loveliness, gowned in a demurely cut frock white satin, with a deep cape effect col lar. Her white Honiton lace veil which was made in India was previously worn by her sister at the latter’s marriage to Air AL A. Coleman. Long light sleeves and an uneven hem line were the outstanding features or her frock. A pretty coronet of orange blossoms was attached to her veil to complete, her coiffeur. She carried a sheath of deep cream roses set with maidenhair fern and wore white sarin shoes and stockings.

Aliss Mamie WilKie, her bridesmaid, wore a charming floral georgette gown with a capo effect collar and similar hemline to the bride’s frock. She had a smart hat to tone, and her bouquet consisted of autumn tinted roses and

sweet peas. Airs 11. J. Thompson was gowned in a stylish ensemble suit of black and green marocain. wearing a smart toning hat. She carried a pretty bouquet of tea roses which, along with those of the bride and her attendant, were artistic ally designed by Aliss B. Wing, of Alarton.
