Airs A. J. Crawford left yesterday for Wellington to attend the Dominion Plunket Conference. Airs T. Hine will leave for Wellington to-day to attend the Dominion Plunket Conference. Airs Ball returned to Wanganui on Thursday from a visit to New Plymouth, where she was the guest of Airs Saxton. Airs Avera was a New Plymouth visitor to Wanganui for a few days last week. Air and Airs Hope Gibbons, of Wanganui, are the guests of Airs N. B. Gibbons, Lower Hutt. Airs L. Moore, of Masterton, is the guest, of Aliss AL Harrison, Wickstccd Street. Airs Pitt, Wanganui, is visiting her daughter, Airs Barber, Pahiatua. Air and Airs P. Wilkinson, of Wellington, are the guests of Airs G. Caiman, Wanganui. Airs J. Lonsdale, of Niue Island, who has been the guest of Airs Lonsdale, Durie Hill has returned to Niue Island accompanied by Airs Lonsdale sen. Airs Walter Willis has returned to Wanganui from a. visit to her sister, Airs Barber, Rotorua. Air and Airs C. L. Thomas, of Napier, who have been the guests of Airs L. Duigan, have returned. Aliss AL Wells, Nelson, is spending a short holiday with Airs Chisholm, Wanganui East, on her way home to Nelson, after a long trip abroad. Airs W. Lancaster, of Wanganui, is paying a visit to her mother, Airs CBoyd, Lyttelton. To aid the funds of the Plunket Society, the Wanganui East ladies have made arrangements for the holding of a garden party on November 29. On Thursday afternoon Airs E. 0. Murray and Airs Grover were joint hostesses at a bridge afternoon given in honour of Airs Condy, who is shortly leaving Wanganui. Airs T. Gibson, of Patea, is spending a holiday in Wanganui with her sister, Mrs Poland Reid, St. John’s Hill, ana later is going on to Wellington. Airs S. Smith was the winner of the cake competition, and Aliss Rhoda Shale, the box of chocolates, at the “shop” day held by the Ladies' Guild of Christ Church, on Friday. A ‘'farmerette” champion of America is Aliss Dorothy Alarshall, who recently won a competition in mowing, ploughing, milking, raking, churning, etc., at the Los Angeles Show.
