WOMAN DROWNED
BODY FOUND IN CREEK. [ Per Press Association. I AUCKLAND. Nov. 14. A married woman, Mrs Linda Hart, aged about 35, of Silverdale, was drowned while crossing a deep creek near Silverdale at about 4 o’clock this afternoon. Her body was found floating in the water by her husband, a farmer, who had come to meet her. There are no children.
Deceased, who lived about two miles on the Wade’s Head side of Silverdale, was returning to her home with some purchases. The creek, which runs into
the Wade River, is about a mile from Silverdale and is crossed by a very narrow wooden foot bridge, with a wire railing one one side. It is thought that Mrs Hart lost her footing and fell into Ihe creek. Her body had a bruise on the forehead.
