HIRUNDO PIRACY
NO LOSS OF LIFE. HONGKONG, Nov. 13. The Hirundo piracy was not accompanied by loss of life. Fourteen pirates seized the ship. Six shots were fired and a steward was wounded. The cargo was not touched. The passengers’, crews’, and officers’ effects were looted. Two Chinese were taken for ransom, but seven Norwegians, including the captain’s wife, were not molested.
