FAT SHEEP PRICES DOWN

There was a drop in the prices of fat sheep at the stock sale to-day. Ewe< were down 4s and hoggets 3s. There were heavy yardings of primest. Fai ewes, shorn, ranged from 15s 4d to 15s 6d; good, 13s to 14s lOd; fair, Ils 3<l to 12s. Woolly fat ewes sold a: scarcely better prices, the shorn showing better quality. Best woollies to 17s 3d; good 15s Id to 15s 4d; fat hoggets, primest, 10s 9d to 19s Cd; good, 17s 9d to 18s; fair, 14s 6d to 16s 6d; fat black faces, good, to 17s 3d; twotooths, primest, 20s 3d to 21s 6d; good 18s to 19s (id; fair, 13s lOd to 15s.
Store Sheep. —Two-tooth ewes, 17s 3d to IBs 3d; two-tooth wethers 13s 7d; ewes with lambs, 16s (id to 18s 6d; ewe hoggets, 15s 6d to 17s Id; fat forward ewes, 6s 9d to 9s Id.
Fat Cattle. —Bullocks to 34s per 100 lbs.; cows and heifers to 335. Store Cattle. —Jersey cows, £2 10s to £4; Jersey yearling heifers, £4 10s tJ £5 ss; yearling P.A. steers, £5. There was only a small yarding of dairy stock. Springing cows brought £l5 5s but average prices were £5 to £9. Heifers were of inferior quality and ranged from £6 to £9.
