BITTER POLITICAL FIGHT
NEXT AMERICAN CONGRESS FINAL CALL TO ELECTORS Received November 2. 8.44 p.m. NEW' YORK, Nov. .1. The party captains on Saturday sounded the final rallying call to the millions of voters who will choose the new Congress and Governors in the 30 States at Tuesday’s general election. The Democrats are heartened by what they conceive to be widespread dissatisfaction with the Hoover Administration on the score of business depression, prohibition tariffs, form relief and other issues. The Democrats have reiterated their predictions and in an unrelenting attack the, mean to return a Democratic House of Representatives.
The Republicans, while acknowledging some losses, are likely to claim that the situation is swinging back in their favour.
The campaign is featured by mounting bitterness anti a barrage of strong words. Neutral observers, however, believe that the personalities o. the individual candidates in many sections will play a prominent part rather than party or platform.
