PETROL MILEAGE
SEEKING ECONOMIES ANOTHER DEVICE ANNOUNCED Received Sept. 14, 6.40 p.m. CAPE TOWN, Sept. 13. Two motor engineers applying a device similar to the one recently patented in London guarantee an extra mileage of ten per cent in cars. The device improves the acceleration and keeps the engine cool. Steam from the radiator passes through a superheater and from there to a condenser, thence to an intake pipe of the carburettor. Another tube takes the fumes from a sump to the valve, thence the intake pipe of the engine to the carburettor. Buses are being fitted with the device.
