SUPREME COURT
PALMERSTON SESSIONS PALMERSTON N., May 18. Thomas Melrose, aged 19, and Nelson Mayer, aged 20, who pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the premises of T. Ireton, jeweller, Cuba Street, appeared before the Chief Justice (Sir M. Myers) at the Supreme Court for sentence. Melrose was admitted to probation for two years, special conditions being that he repay within three months half of the damage to window, also half of the costs and keep away from hotels. Mayer was admitted to the Borstal Institution for two years with the suggestion that the case can be considered before the usual period.
