SAVED BY PARACHUTE
MISHAP TO A ’PLANE PILOT LANDS SAFELY M(JUNE, May 16. Pilot Officer Rao. of the Royal Australian Air Force, was engaged in acrobatics over Point Cook in a British Bulldog ’plane when a wing appeared to collapse. The pilot jumped from the ’plane, released the parachute, and landed safely in a paddock. The machine crashed and was wrecked.
