SIR JOSEPH WARD’S STATEMENT [ Per Preps Association ' ROTORUA, May The Right Hon. Sir Joseph War®F made a statement to-day regarding thle't Imperial Conference. “It is generally known,’’ said Sir Joseph, “that the date for the meeting in London of the next Imperial Conference has been fixed after consultation with the Dominions for September 30 next. Communications have been and still arc passing between his Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom and the Dominion Governments respecting thc agenda for the conference, as well as in connection with subjects which more appropriately belong to the economic side of the conference. is the intention of the Government to submit to Parliament at tho beginning of the coming session a statement regarding the conference, and also as to the representation of New Zealand. In the meantime, the Departments particularly concerned are engaged in the preparation of tho necessary data in connection with the subjects which will come up for consideration at the conference.”
