WEATHER FORECAST
General situation. —The depression has deepened over New Zealand, and a cyclonic centre has formed west of the South Island. The barometer has fallen again over Tasmania. Forecast —Winds: Moderate to strong generally, northerly over the North Island and north-east to east over the South Island, but later tending southerly everywhere. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rather rough generally. Tasman Sea: Strong southerly winds and rough seas in the eastern Tasman. Weather: Dull generally with mist, or fog in places, especially on the oast of the South Island; further general rain with many heavy falls and thunder likely in places from Canterbury northwards. Temperatures becoming colder to-morrow.
