AUSTRALIANS IN FORM A DOUBLE CENTURY MADE BRADMAN SHOWS BRILLIANCE (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrightl • LONDON, May 1. A brilliant double century by Brad man was a feature of the second day’s play in the match between the Aust - n lians and Worcestershire. His effor; amazed the spectators, and he floated the bowlers with scant respect, pasting tho ball to all parts of the field. He reached his century in 120 minutes. Woodfully, upon obtaining 100, became reckless and attacked the weak bowling. Ho and Bradman put on 200 in just over two hours. The .New South Wales colt, assisted by Richardson, AlcCabe, and a’Beckett, mad* his total 200 after 255 minutes at the crease. He went out like Woodfnll in attempting to lift, the ball out of the ground. Bradman batted for 276 minutes, and hit twenty-eight fours, giving only one chance, which »vas after he had passed his second hundred. His score is the highest ever compiled against Worcester. He drove with great power and presented an impregnable defence. With two hours left to play Worcester lost four wickets before stumps were drawn.
