COL. ALLEN’S STATEMENT. 1 Per Press Association J AUCKLAND, May 2. There is no truth whatever in the report circulated in Auckland that Col. S. 8. Allen. Administrator of Western Samoa, contemplates retiring from that position. Hi.- father-in-law, Mr A. L. Foster, who Jives in Auckland, said that Col. Allen’s recent letters had contained nothing tha* would lend colour to such a repo rd and to day * radio message was received in Auckland from Col. Allen stating definitely that he had expressed no wish to retire. Colonel Allen took up the appointment in April, 1928. The appointment was for no definite term.
