WELLINGTON VISITORS ORIENTAL TO PLAY KAIERAU MATCH FOR* SATURDAY Advice has been received in Wanganui to the effect that the Oriental team to play Kaierac on Spriggens Park on Saturday in the annual match will be a very trong one, and spectators may be assured of a display of the oval ball code which will compare very favourably with any yet seen on the Park. In spite of the earlincss of the season players are reported to be very fit as the result of summer sports. The personnel of the Oriental team is as follows, according to a telegram received yesterday: Ramsay (fullback), Packnatz, Kelly, Sharp, Ormond, Bonetti, Coxon, Tasker, Brown, Mcllraith, Ward, Watt, Airth, McMillan. BROADCASTING QUESTION MEETING IN CANTERBURY [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, April 16. The question of broadcasting Rugby football matches in Canterbury this season came up before the Rugby Union’s Management Committee last evening. It was decided that the Broadcasting Company be given permission to broadcast from Lancaster Park on Saturdays and at other times, provided all of the Saturday matches were broadcast. “The company should not be allowed to pick and choose,” said a member. Canterbury Comment. Commenting on the Canterbury Rugby Union’s decision in regard to broadcasting, Mr A. R. Harris, general manager of the Radio Cdmpany, said this would mean, in effect, that the company would not be able to take full advantage of the recent decision of the New Zealand Union to allow broadcasting of British matches, and those plans would have to be curtailed. NEW ZEALAND UNION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, April 16. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. Mr Guy Powles, writing from London, regretted that he could not consent to the allocation of the Moascar Cup to a competition between teams from the New Zealand Navy. He could see no possible connection between the Navy and the Army teams which competed for the cup at Moascar in 1919. Sub-committees for the ensuing year were appointed as follow: Referees, Messrs Wylie and Kitto; finance, Messr Deans, Wylie and Leith; outfit, Messrs Deans and Kitto; re-in-statement, Messrs Roache and Kitto. The two Maori trial matches are to be played on June 3 and on July 2.. The latter will be a Possibles v. Probables games in connection with the forthcoming British tour. The committte decided that North Island nominations must reach the hands of the secretary by May 4 and that South Island nominations must be made by May 12.

WANGANUI AND OLD BOYS. A practice for all grades of the Wanganui and Old Boys will be held on the Racecourse at 2.30 to-morrow. All players are requested to attend. ARAMOHO FOOTBALL CLUB. All members of the Aramoho Football Club are required to attend a practice to be held on Atkinson Park on Saturday. Should sufficient inducement be received, a third grade team will be entered in the competitions.
