THE NAVAL CONFERENCE
THREE POWER AGREEMENT BRIAND TIRED AND BORED LONDON, April 3. Great Britain, Japan, and the United States are meeting further to consider matters arising out of yesterday’s meeting when Air Wakatsuki announced Japan’s acceptance of the threePower proposals. The meeting was of a most successful character and the outstanding details in connection with the Japanese reservations were not regarded as presenting very considerable controversial difficulties, but as representing a few technicalities. It was considered advisable to refer them to a small sub-committee of exports for examination before coming to a decision. M. Briand, talking to French journalists, frankly told them that he was very tired and bored with the conference. Contrary to his customary reticence he expressed the opinion that the earliest that it could possibly finish was Easter, but it might take another month and even two months.
