"HIBISCUS” EXCITEDLY HAPPY AT HER BROTHER'S RETURN.

Tufukia, Niue Island, 21/11/29. Dear Wendy,—Thank you very much for letting me join the Wendy Hut, and for my lien-name. We are having a school holiday this week while the boat goes to Samoa and back. She comes back here to take the bananas to New Zealand. My brother came back on the boat and we are all very happy. He has lots to tell us about his school, but h« is pleased to come over for a holiday. The weather is very warm now, and we spent a lot of our time in our swimming pool. I was sunburnt the other day, but it is getting better now. I am writing to “Old Gran” to thank you and her for the nice presents she sent me. I wish you and all the friends in the Hut a very happy Christmas. Please excuse this short letter but we have “Boy” home. With love to all.—From "HIBISCUS.” P.S.—Please excuse my mistakes, but we are all so excited and "Boy” is making so much noise.—“H.” , I am ever so happy to have your most welcome letter this week, my dear. How lovely to have a holiday from school. It is always welcome, isn't it? I can just imagine how happy you are to have your brother home with you. He will have much to tell you of New Zealand. The swimming season has not long commenced here, and the water is still rather chilly. How lovely to spend so many hours bathing in your island swimming pool. I have sent your letter to our dear “Old Gran.” How excited she will be when she opens it and sees who it is from. Many thanks, dear, for you kind wishes. We all hope you spend a happy time, too. I hope Santa Claus brought something lovely for you.—Wendy.
