THE EXTRACTION OF RUBBER MADE FROM COMMON WEED [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Dec. 5, 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Dee. 4. Edison’s secretary ha.s announced that the inventor has successfully developed a means for the extraction of rubber from Golden Rod, a common American flowering weed, at a cost of 16 cents a pound. The process, no details of which have been announced, involves a long period of boiling.
