Sir, —Now that the glorious “Angelus” chorus has been unearthed from its mothballs, and found as young and vigorous as ever, Mr Slater could make his name ever glorious by giving the whole of “Maritana” as a concert programme. A small orchestra would be needed, say half-a-dozen violins, a couple of ’cellos, a double bass, a cornet, two trombones and French horn, and in’ the wood-winds, an oboe, flute, two clarinets and bassoon would make a good organisation, and all the parts! could be hired from one or more of the various musical libraries of the Dominion. “MUSICUS”
