THE GONVILLE CLUB HANDICAP MATCHES During thc week a number of handicap matches have been played and a full list of these will be published after thc week-end. All players who have entered for tho various doubles events arc asked to be in attendance at the courts to-morrow anti to commence their matches as early as possible. REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURE MATCH AT WAIPAWA WANGANUI AND HAWKE’S BAY In connection with the representative fixture at Waipawa to-morrow between the Wanganui and Hawke’s Bay lawn tennis teams Miss Gaisford and A. L. Wheeler have notified thc selector that they will be unable to make the trip and their places will bo filled by Miss Dempsey and R. R Perkins. Players are reminded that they are to leave at 5 p.m. to-day. ST. JOHN’S CLUB VISITORS FROM WAVERLEY A team of eight ladies and eight men from thc Waverley Lawn Tennis Club will visit the St. John’s Club to. morrow to play an inter-club match at 2 p.m. Thc following St. John *s players have been selected for the match: J. Dempsey (capt.), D. Stodart, ID. Purcell, E. Lind, F. Jenkins, J. Tulloch, J. Purcell, J Brighton; Misses Best, Duncan. D’Ath, Smith, Waters, Bourne and Collier, Mrs Lampe. Emergencies; J. Townsend and Dennis; Miss E. MeNaught.
