PILOT EIELSON MISSING
EFFORTS TO FIND HIM FAIL VANCOUVER, Dec. 4. A message from Nome states that Eielson and his mechanic Dorbandt have been lost for a fortnight. All efforts to locate him failed. Pilots Dorbandt and Eielson recently made two trips to the steamer Nanuk, which is icebound north of Cape Siberia, and brought to Nome furs worth a fortune. Eielson became lost on the third trip. There are serious fears that he has darved or been frozen, though there .s always the possibility of the in- : repid northerner hibernating with .-kimos somewhere during the render of the winter.
