Tho manager reports as follows: — “In tho stopes on the Stockwood reof at the 400 feet level, the reef is being broken down and a few pounds of specimen stone have been selected from near the point where the last gold was got. The general ore from here is shaping well at the battery, rising at this point is under way, and stoping in both directions is in progress. Mining operations at present are confined to stoping and rising in this block, the end stopes are levelled up, tho ventilation is satisfactory, so good progress should be made with winning ore and proving the value going up. All the machinery at the mine and battery is running smoothly and doing all required of it.’’
