FLORIDA DISTRICTS SWEPT SERIOUS DAMAGE REPORTED [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received Oct. 1, 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 1. A message from Pensacola states that the centre of th® tropical hurricane has passed, leaving communications disrupted. The lighting system failed. Approximately • 100 refugees are under the care of the police. The weather bureau stated that the districts east of the city would be most damag/cd, but no reports from them are available. Terrific winds caused damage estimated at approximately 1,000,000 dollars throughout Florida.
