FOUR COWS KILLED A FARMER’S DISCOVERY [ Per Press Association ] ROTORUA, Oct. 1. Mr A. M. Campbell, a farmer occupying land adjacent to Rotorua, in going over his farm this morning found four cows dead near a water trough having been gored by a stag — all within a fortnight of calving. The carcases all showed severe horn marks and bruises. The farm lies near the Ikareka reserve, much infected by deer.
