CHEATING TIME
TALKS WITH AUSTRALIA AMERICAN RADIO COAIPANY [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received Oct. 1, 11 p.m. NEW YORK, Sept. 30. The round-the-world radio telephone circuit of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company was again put at the service to-day of Sen New York citizens who took turns at talking with Australia through the standard desk telephone of Doctor Jewett, a company official. The service was routed via London and the voices travelled the great circuit of the route from Aubyn, New York to Australia.
Dr. Jewett explained, ‘‘lt requires about 30 seconds to put a call through to Australia yet the 15 hours’ difference in time is an obstacle to the' service.’’
