SUPERIOR GERMAN VESSELS EXPENSIVE 6000-TONNERS ( Australian Press Assn. ] Received Sept. 30, 10 p.m e LONDON, Sept. 10. The Daily Telegraph’s naval correspondent discloses that Germany, in addition to having a pocket battleship, also possesses the last word in cruisers. She has a six thousand tonner, the Konigsberg, built with a speed of 34 knots an hour. She carries nine sixinch guns with a.range of 111 miles, 12 torpedo tubes and a mine laying plant. She cost £2,100,000, which is far more than Britain’s ten thousand tonners. Three sister ships of the Konigsberg are being built.
