MORPETH AT ADELAIDE SECOND ROUND PLAY SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TITLE. Received August 22, 11.5 p.m. ADELAIDE, Aug. 22. Morpeth strengthened his position in the second round of the golf championship, doing it in 78, making his aggregate 151, pairing with Holger, the New South Wales professional. Morpeth’s driving was long and straight. At times the erratic wind was troublesome. He repeatedly saved by brilliant short play. Shaw and Mclntosh made 85 and 84 respectively, the aggregates being 169 and 165, Bissett 152, Eyre and Whitton 153, Nettlefold and Corry 155. Corry, who tied on the previous day, took 82. Jupp retired owing to a family bereavement. Stewart, who is out of touch, took 84 with an aggregate of 161 and has practically lost his chance.
