ROBBED SUBURBAN HOUSES
TWO YOUNG MEN SENTENCED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 22. Eleven robberies from suburban houses had a sequel iu the Police Court when Cyril Patterson, aged 21, and Thomas Henry Mclntyre* aged 21,pleaded guilty to-day to all ’of eleven charges of theft and Hector l>onald Connolly* aged 19, to five of eleven charges. The police said all three accused were out on license from the Borstal ! Institute and started the robberies 13 days after release. Connoiiy left to ( take up work at Helensville after five robberies had been committed and Patterson and Mclntyre then carried on by themselves Patterson and Mclntyre were sentenced to three years’ reformative detention, and Connolly to two years’ reformative detention.
