WANGANUI SALE PRICES REMAIN FIRM Freeman R. Jackson and Co. Ltd report a fair yarding in all sections at their Wanganui sale. Owing to the rough weather the attendance was somewhat limited and consequently competition was lacking. Prices were firm on recent sales with a brighter outlook in the pig section. Quotations: Sheep.—4 and 6 tooth wethers (good) 28s 6d to 29s lOd; 4 and 6 tooth wethers (medium) 21s 6d to 25s 6d; wether hoggets (medium) 22s 6d to 23s 6d; empty ewes Ils to 18s 6d; fat ewes 26s 7d; ewes in C.S.D 24s to 25s 6d. Cattle. —Fat cows (medium weights) £9; store cow r s £3 17s to £5 15s; Hereford yearling steers (good) £7; weaner heifers (small) £3 4s; empty heifers 2 year, £4 to £5 Bs. Dairy stock.—Springing heifers (good) £l5, £ll 15s, £ll, £10; springing cows £B, £7 ss, £6. Pigs.—Porkers (medium weights) £2 5s to £2 7s; forward stores 24s 6d.
