FINE BRITISH PERFORMANCE. LONDON, Aug. 20. The world’s greatest speed was achieved by Flying Officer Atcherley when 86 to-day, reached an estimated maximum speed of 350 miles hourly at Calshot. It is uncertain whether the United States will bo represented, as the American aeroplane has not yet proved its adequacy of speed to make it worth while competing.
