BEBBINGTON SHIELD BUSH HOLD OFF RANGITIKEI. [ Per Pi :ss Association. ] BAHIA,TUA, Aug. 21. Bush to-day successfully defended the Bebbington Shield, defeating Rangitikei by 12 points to 5. Bush elided to victory through a sea of mud. Rain fell throughout and the ground was a quagmire. Bush, with the wind in the first spell, adapted themselves better to the conditions and led by 12 to nil. H. Wolland scored two tries and Wright one try, and penalty. The forwards were much superior but strange to say the backs did all the scoring. In the second spell Kangitikei had the better of the exchanges. Dawbin scored a try, D. Cameron converting
