ANNUAL STOCK FAIR
AT UPPER WANGAEHU. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. and Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., report on their first annual stock fair held in Mr A. H. Ross’ yards as above on Thursday last. At this' the first fixture we yarded in all 4565 sheep and 1008 head cattle. Without doubt the offering in the cattle section comprised lines of the best bred bullocks which have come under the hammer for many a long day. This was. the opinion expressed on all .ides from the large assembly of breeders and graziers present from practically all parts of the North Island. Among the offering in the sheep iine were some particularly highclass 5-year-old ewes and some real good lines of wethers. Buyers were present from the Auckland Province, Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, Rangitikei, the Manawatu and Levin districts and wo report a total clearance with the exception of one pen «.f sheep and two pens of cattle.
