AMERICAN TORNADO
FORTY-FOUR PEOPLE DEAD. [ Australian Press Assn. ] NEW YORK, May 3. Forty-four people are dead after the storms yesterday and to-day in seven southern States, and in the mid-west. Twenty-three were killed in Virginia, including a teacher and 13 children owing to the collapse of the Rye Cove school.
