THAT NOISY SIGNAL
A FLASH LIGHT SUGGESTED AUTO ASSOCIATION’S VIEWS The Pearson signal installed nt the College Street railway crossing was again discussed at last night’s Automobile Association’s meeting. The secretary reported that the Department had decided to replace it with a flashing light. Air H. Ct. Whittall said that the association had been largely responsible for the erection of the signal and should oppose its removal. It would be just as effective without the bell. Mr Bain concurred ami it was decided to urge the Department to keep the Pearson signal in position without the bell. A copy of the letter is to be sent to Mr Brown, representatixo of the, resilients of the locality who had complained of the disturbance the bell caused.
