In the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court to-day the North Canterbury Hospital Board claimed from Dr. C. H. Upham Ithe sum of £3B for services rendered by the pathological department at the hospital. I The decision of the Court in the case i will be interesting and important. Dr Upham sent a swab to the hospital for testing. The Board contended it did the work for the doctor but the doctor claims that he was only an agent and that the Board should collect the sum due from the patient. It was stated that, similar actions had been threatened against. two other doctors but the cases had been settled out of Court.
