SCHOOL ELECTIONS

WANGANUI BOARD’S DISTRICT ADDITIONAL RESULTS Since the “Chronicle” went to press yesterday morning, additional results of school committees elected in the Wanganui Education Board’s district continued to come to hand. These are published below. KAI IWI The meeting of householders at Kai Iwi was presided over by Air S. Tarrant. The following committee was elected: ATcssers F. X. Huwyler, W. L. Hodges, B. McKenzie, S. Tarrant and 1\ (' Sweney. The committee elected Air F. X. Huwyler as chairman and Afr E. (’-. Sweney as secretary. The balance sheet showed the finance to be in a sound position. Trees planted last Arbor Day are doing well, and lawns and hedges are in good order. A great improvement is a new drain which has been put in. PAREWANUI Eight householders attended the meeting at Parewanui, Air D. Anderson occupying the chair. The following committee was elected: Afessrs D. Anderson (chairman), H. Holland, R. Lovell, A. Young and R. Young. Air Anderson was elected secretary. GLYNEATH Residents of Raumai Road showed their satisfaction with the sitting committee of the Glyneath School by staying away from the meeting. The following were re-elected: Afessrs W. J. Guy (chairman), AV. Carter (secretary), G. Lanydon, E. J. Amon, and T. W. Field. Air Guy presided at the meeting. PUTORINO. The following committee was elect ed: Afessrs C. L. Raine (chairman), H. Bryce (secretary), Isaac Gibbs (treasurer), S. Hart, G. F, Haar. A hearty vote of thanks for past services was accorded Afr B. Newham, who did not seek re-election. RATA The following c<;:. :.iittee was elected: Afessrs A. P. Lee hair), C. D. A. Taylor (sec.). AV. ..ills, S. Pickford, J. Drummond. There were ten present and a ballot was taken for committeemen. MANGAONOHO The following committee was elected: Afessrs AV. Rowe (chair), A. Klatt, P t AVeston (see.), L. Eggleton, J, Tabor. There was a large attendance. POUKIORE No committee elected, only four attending. WANGAEHU The following committee was elected: Afessrs T. Hodge (chairman), H. Anderson, B. Kenny, A. Olsen, E. Green. SIL VERHOPE The following committee was elected: Afessrs I. Bartlett (chair), S. R. Hammond (sec.), A. Bartlett, T. McDonald, AV. Voelkerling. There was a good attendance. RATA-ITI The following committee was elected: Afessrs A. J. AVilton (chair), AV. Simpson, J. E. Hurley, F. Robb, E. AValker. PUKEROA The following committee was elected: Afessrs H. J. Todd (chair), R. E. Shaw (sec.), J. N. Armit, R, Coleman, C. H. Reynolds. TURAKINA The following committee was elected at a meeting of householders held at Turakina: R. J. Glasgow (chairman), A. Glasgow, 8. Conder, J. Steere and F. AVigglesworth. HUNTER VILLE There were 61 householders present at the Hunterville meeting. The following were elected a committee for tho ensuing year: Messrs R. AT. S. Jones, R. Dukeson, AV. O’Brien, AV G. Cunningham, L. J. Thompson, Airs B. A. Y'clverton and Dr. D. AL Mitchell. Air Jones was re-elected chairman and Air Dukeson secretary. WAVERLEY The outgoing committee was re-elect-ed as under: Afessrs Geo. Spratt. ,T. Currie, S. Aiken, C. H. Christensen, C. Southcombc, AV. AVicks, AV. P. AVallace. At a subsequent committee meeting Afr Geo. Spratt was elected chairman, and Afr J. Currie, secretary. TAIHAPE. Niue nominations were received for the vacancies on the school committee and the chairman declared the following elected:—Messrs G. King. H. Dashwood, E. Loader, Al. Jarvis, G. AVilsher G. F. Kelly, R. D. AVilson, Dr. G. N. AfacDiarmid and Rev. E. Bandy. The Rev. E. Bandy was elected chairman and Air G. King secretary of the committee. WESTERN RANGITIKEI Afessrs E. B. Gordon (chairman), Bishop, LoSirie, Coleman, and Shield (secretary). MOUNT VIEW. Mr A. S. Coleman was re-elected chairman w.ith the following committee: Afessrs Albert Lampp, Albert AVing, John Nitschke and S. Fraser.

POREWA. At this school the meeting lapsed for want of a quorum. SOUTH MAKIRIKIRI. The old committee were re-elected:— Afessrs A. Stuart (chairman), H. Nitsrhke, E. Gudopp, AVasscn and W. Robertson. WOODLANDS. Lack of a quorum necessitated a postponement of the meeting. UPPER TUTAENUI The meeting here was largely attended, Air T. T. Bartlett presiding. Mr 1). S. Galpin was elected chairman of the. committee and Afr H. Collier secretary, the other members being Messrs H. Afarshall, A. Lane and D. Paterson. OTAIRI. Afr T. Brody was appointed commissioner. UTIKU. At the annual meeting of householders at L’tiku the following school committee was elected for the jensuing year:—Messrs P. Munro (chairman), G. Kilmister, S. F. Reid, A. Hoskins and G. Gibbs (secretary). RAETIHI. The meeting <f householders at Raetihi School was presided ov’er by Airs Ashwell. The following committee was elected: Afrs 11. E. Ashwell, Mr Sandford, Mr L. Bair,d, Afr E. Davies, Mrs A. Jennings, Messrs J. A. Lynn, J. L. Lugt.on, <i. H. Parkes, F. J. Thomson and W. J. Vile. The committee elected Mrs H. E. Ashwell as chairman, and Afr G. H. Parkes as secretary. RUAHINE. The following committee was elected for Ruahine School * the householders’ meeting on Alonday: Mesdames E. J. Reilly and McMillan; Messrs F. H. Thompson, A. C. Hall, and A. AfcMillan. Airs Thompson was rc-elccted chairman and Air AfcAlillan secretary.
