HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION
ALR BRIDGEMAN FOR NOMINATION At a special meeting held yesterday by the Wanganui Grain, Seed and Produce Alerchants’ Association it was resolved that the Association should ask Air F. O. Bridgeman of Alessrs Holm and Co., tho well-known shipping agents, to allow himself to be nominated as a candidate for the Harbour Board at tho forthcoming election. Alembers agreed that it had become imperative that local business houses shall have direct representation on the Board and were confident that in Air Bridgeman they would have a member who would guard the interests of the business community. The secretary was instructed to convey to Air Bridgeman the terms of tho resolution and if he was willing to stand, to communicate with the various kindred associations seeking their support for his candidature. The Association has been notified by Air Bridgeman that he is prepared to accept nomination.
