ESCAPED PRISONER
REMAND TO MONDAY BREAKING AND ENTERING CHARGE Walter Patrick Murphy, who gave himself up to the Wanganui police on Monday afternoon after escaping from the Waikune camp on the previous Tuesday, appeared before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He was charged with breaking and entering the premises of S. J. Harris, boot importer, of Aramoho, on April 12. Application was made by Detective Walsh for a remand until Monday. A charge of escaping from custody was pending. A remand until Monday was granted.
