MANAGEAIENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Wanganui Metropolitan Rugby Union was held last evening: Present, Messrs C, IL Warden (chair), C. S. Swan. 11. Hague Smith, L. Southcombc, L. J. Carmine, A. Takarangi, J, S. King, P. Wilson, T. A. Tait, J. Moye, R. 1. Sewell ami J, B. Rowe. Souvenir for Schoolboys. The Wanganui Primary Schools’ Rugby Association notified that the annual s-'ven-a-side tournament would be held next Saturday morning. It was also notified that Air J. Moye had waited on the Association and had presented them with a unique gift, in the shape of a miniature football with the signatures of members of the All Black team on it. Air Tait expressed the appreciation of the Association of Mr Moye’s gift and stated that it would bo greatly valued by the schoolboys, who would realise the honour that had been done them and would, he felt sure, endeavour to play up to the high standard set by those who had placed their signatures on the souvenir of the South African tour.

Season Tickets. It was stated that over .130 season tickets had been sold. The committee decided to continue the issue of complimentary tickets to disabled limbless returned soldiers.

The "Wanganui Rugby Football Union notified that they could not see their way clear to accept any reduction in the proportion due them from the issue of season tickets, pointing out that if they accepted the committee’s proposal they would be granting admission to representative matches at 9d a head a match.

Pirate Club. The Pirate Club notified that the nomination of their delegate, Air 11. Tyler, to the Junior Advisory Board, had apparently been overlooked. It was explained that no written nomination had been necessary and no verbal nomination had been made at the special meeting of delegates, hence the omission of Air Tyler’s name. The matter was referred to the Junior Advisory Board. The Pirate Club notified that E. Gullcry had been appointed secretary, and that they wished to confirm Tuesday night as their night for use of the training shed at Spriggens Park. On Pirate Club making application for a ground for a practice match for next Saturday they were granted the use of either Williams Park or Atkinson Park, as they might wish. Technical College. The Technical College applied for the use of grounds on Wednesdays for their teams, to the number of about 20. The request was acceded to anil the allocation of grounds was left to the grounds committee. It was decided that the classification committee and the Junior Advisory Board confer and decide on points arising out of classification matters and also consider ways and means of shortening the time necessary to decide junior competitions. PRACTICE REMINDERS WANGANUI AND OLD BOYS’ CLUB A practice of all grades of Wanganui and Old Boys’ Club will be hold in Kaierau shod, Spriggens Park, at 7.30 o’clock to-night. A full attendance of seniors is essential in view of the seven-a-side tournament on Saturday
