THE DRINK BILL
BRITISH TOTAL DECLINES (Sun Cable.) Received April 15. 11 pm. LONDON, April 15. According to United Kingdom Alliance statistics, the British drink bill for .1928 totalled £228,200.000, representing £6 9s lOd per head, or a decrease of £10,600,000 compared with 1927, due to a 20 per cent decline in Xvine consumption and seven and a quarter per cent, in beer ami spirits.
