TRAIN SMASHES CAR OCCUPANTS’ NARROW ESCAPE. [ Per Press Association 1 WHANGAREI, April 15. At another crossing on the OpuaWhangarei line the train that hud been tho cause of the accident to Mrs Rice at Alair, ran into a small car which had capsized after bolting down an incline owing to a defective brake. A man, a woman and a child who were the occupants just managed to escape. The car was smashed to fragments.
