HUSBAND’S SAD DISCOVERY. SUVA, Dee. 3. A brutal murder took place on the outskirts of Suva on Wednesday night. The wife Baramma, of an Indian pawnbroker, Suraya, was severely stabbed with a knife in the head and died Some hours later in hospital. The woman lived with her husband in a comfortable hut at Walu Bay. He returned home late at night, to find her lying in a terrible condition with blood everywhere and signs of a struggle having taken place. She was taken to the Suva Hospital, where the wounds were found to have been inflicted with a knife. She was operated upon during the night, but died shortly afterwards. Before her death, however, she muttered something about having been attacked, and gave the name of one man of three who had entered the hut. This man has been arrested and charged with murder.
