CAPSIZE OF SERVICE CAR
INJURED PASSENGER CLAIMS DAMAGES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. The Supreme Court is hearing a claim for £1348 11s damages by Margaret Ellen Motley of Dannevirke, against William El iott and William Whitfied of Napier, service car proprietors, and Hector Stanley McClclland, motor driver. Miss Motley was a passenger in defendant’s car when it overturned at a corner near Paraparaumu, and was seriously injured, her pelvis being crushed. She claimed that the car at the time was travelling at an excessive and dangerous rate of speed, while the defendants deny there was any negligence. The case is proceeding.
